Ladybugs (Kindergarten)

Look at these adorable little Lady Bugs my kindergartners created!!!

We learned a lot about these sweet little bugs (the only bug I'm not terrified of).  We learned that the come in different colors, listed the parts of the lady bugs, and what they eat.  We also learned about shape (organic/geometric), symmetry, and practiced our coloring and cutting skills.

First we traced a circle on our paper, aiming for the middle.

Then we drew a line down the middle with a V shape at the end.

Then we traced the bottom of a glue stick (crayola) to make the dot pattern.  We also practiced counting.

Then we drew the head with eyes.

We colored her, to make her pretty :)

We cut her out.

Then we traced a leaf template on green paper and cut it out.
Then we glued our ladybug onto the leaf and add her legs and antenna.

This took about 4 -45 minute classes to complete.
