Torn Paper Zebras (Kindergarten)

In this lesson kindergartners learned about zebras and about mammals.  They also learned about the elements of art, line and how to make collages.

After the presentation on zebras, elements of art, and how to make collages I showed the students how to draw a zebra.  Then we traced our zebras with black oil pastels.

Students then hand tore small strips of black construction paper and glued them on their zebras.  They then cut the zebras out and glued them onto blue construction paper.

Cutest zebras, ever.
